TS Blue Clipper will be visiting some of the islands of the Grenadines as part of her winter program in the Caribbean one of which is Bequia…

Bequia pronounced ‘Bekway’ means ‘island in the clouds, in the ancient Arawak and is the second-largest island in the Grenadines. This 7 square mile gem in the southern Caribbean is surrounded by clear turquoise waters, ideal for diving in the many reefs and shipwrecks. Bequia may be small but has much to offer. Shopping in Port Elizabeth at colourful craft stalls and boutiques for handmade jewellery, wood carvings, and clothing. Call in at the Chameleon Café for fresh coffee and a slice of their famous cheesecake. Visit the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, Old Sugar Mill Ruins, Hamilton Battery or unwind on one of the beautiful beaches then finish the day off with a rum punch listening to the sounds of steel pan and reggae music.
