Voyage Highlights

Blue Clipper is planning to stop at the following 5 scenic locations during this voyage.

  • Visit Douglas the capital of the Isle of Man.
  • Belfast Titanic quarter.
  • Vist the Isle of Bute.
  • Anchor in Holy Loch with amazing scenery.
  • Finish the voyage at the town of Greenoch nearby to the beautiful city of Glasgow.

Other Sights During the Voyage

In addition to the stops mentioned above, there are various other stunning coastlines and islands we will be passing on our way to Greenoch:

  • The fiarytale Scottish red sandstone castle of Mount Stuart.
  • Mull of Galloway Lighthouse.
  • The Isle of Arran and its highest peak Goat Fell at 2866ft standing proud on the East side.
  • Portencross Castle.
  • The small island of Great Cumbrae with its beautiful beaches and bay of Fintray.
  • Toward Point lighthouse.

Voyage Description

On a sailing voyage we never use the word itinerary, as skippers will always be aiming for the best sailing and shore landings for the forecast and most idyllic or sheltered anchors and ports. They are as keen as you to include some of the highlights describe, but you have to go with Mother Nature, not fight her. The description below is based on what we think might be possible, based on past trips, or experience, but nothing is guaranteed on a sailing voyage. If the following voyage description is not fulfilled for any reason, Maybe Sailing and Maybe Sailing Youth Initiative cannot be held responsible.

Experience life on board our elegant schooner Blue Clipper as we make our way from Liverpool to Greenock, in the Firth of Clyde. With 8 nights to make this voyage, there will be opportunities to visit the Isle of Man, Belfast’s Titanic quarter, the scenic sea loch – Holy Loch and the beautiful Isle of Bute, at just 5 miles wide with sandy beaches, it’s worth the walk for tea and cake at Ettrick Bay!

What is included in the voyage cost:

  • All meals on board Blue Clipper – including daily breakfast, lunch and evening meal
  • Refreshments throughout the day
  • Use of safety equipment
  • Accommodation in a twin ensuite cabin
  • All instruction and lectures on board by fully qualified crew

What is not included:

  • Travel to and from the boat
  • Personal travel insurance. Check out Top Sail for specialist Tall Ship sailing travel insurance
  • Alcoholic and soft drinks (a TAB system is in place during your voyage. Payable at the end of your voyage in cash (GBP or EUROS) on board.
  • Any shore excursions and meals on shore (unless otherwise stated)
