Sail the Edge of the Atlantic – Oban to Tórshavn on board Blue Clipper our 3 masted schooner for an unforgettable hands-on voyage, setting sail from the scenic Scottish harbour town of Oban to the remote and rugged Faroe Islands.
Two Breath-taking Routes – One Incredible Experience
Depending on weather conditions, we may take one of two stunning routes:
Route 1: The Inner Passage
Enjoy a more sheltered sail through the Little Minch, with potential stops at Uist, Benbecula, Harris, and a final pause at the Isle of Lewis, passing the dramatic Butt of Lewis. Then, prepare for the excitement of a 200-nautical-mile open-ocean crossing to the Faroe Islands.
Route 2: The Wild Atlantic West
If the weather allows, we’ll venture along the wild and remote west coast of the Outer Hebrides. Explore the Monach Isles, St Kilda, and the mysterious Flannan Isles, with unhurried stops to take in the scenery and wildlife. Then set sail across open sea to the southern Faroes – visiting Suðuroy, Sandoy, and some of the more remote islands before arriving in the charming capital of Tórshavn.
