Life on a sailing voyage
On a sailing voyage we never use the word itinerary, as skippers will always be aiming for the best sailing and shore landings for the forecast and most idyllic or sheltered anchors and ports. They are as keen as you to include some of the highlights describe, but you have to go with Mother Nature, not fight her. The description below is based on what we think might be possible, based on past trips, or experience, but nothing is guaranteed on a sailing voyage. If the following voyage description is not fulfilled for any reason, Maybe Sailing and Maybe Sailing Youth Initiative cannot be held responsible.

By Air
There are two international airports located close to Cadiz: Jerez ( Airport Code XRY) and Seville (Airport Code SVQ). Both airports have several daily connecting flights to the rest of Spain and Europe.
By Rail
Cadiz train station is located off Plaza de Sevilla on the eastern or bay side of the city near the port. The old station building is located behind the Aduana (customs) building and the trains depart from the new station building with is behind the old. Allow a few extra minutes to orientate yourself and find the entrance.
It is a terminus station for Alvia Long Distance trains to Madrid, Medium Distance to Jerez and Sevilla with some continuing to Jaen, and Cercanias (local) to San Fernando and Jerez.
By Bus
There is a bus service and a shuttlebus running from Jerez airport to the Port of Cadiz, however the train station is so close to the port that it is the better option.

The closest airport to Portimao, is Faro Airport, with many budget airlines flying between the UK and Portugal daily. The easiest way to get to Faro Airport is via Hoppa Transfer or by train from Faro to Portimao.
