Experience:

I grew up sailing around Falmouth, spending most weekends and holidays exploring the local creeks, dropping anchor in hidden coves, and camping on beaches. If I wasn’t on the water, I was usually wishing I was.
About a year and a half ago I joined Blue Clipper in Falmouth as a deckhand, and it didn’t take long before I was completely hooked on tall ship sailing. Since then I’ve completed two Scotland and Caribbean seasons, taking on both deckhand and engineer roles. Whether it’s climbing the rigging, fixing engines, or trying to remember where I left the right spanner, I enjoy every part of life onboard.
There’s something special about life under sail—the teamwork, the adventure, and the fact that no two days are ever the same. I’m still loving every minute of it… even the 3 a.m night watches.

Interests:

Sailing, being on the water, fixing things, coastal walks, DIY projects and exploring new places

Dislikes:

Anyone who says, “It’ll only take five minutes”. Running out of tea halfway through a repair.

Steak and chips – preferably on dry land.

What do you never sail without:

A head torch, a multi tool, and the right spanner, eventually.
