Qualification and experience:

When I was 7 I built a raft. It had plastic bottles on the bottom to keep it floating, a little mast made out of a broom handle and I spent every day working on it after school. When it was finally ready, my mum got it in the car and we took it to the slipway at the local sailing club, where it sank immediately.

Fortunately, the owner of the sailing club had seen the whole episode and asked me if maybe I wanted to join them on Saturdays for dinghy sailing lessons! 32 years later – I have spent a few seasons skippering private charters in Croatia, I am two seasons in as a first mate on TS Maybe and have just completed a solo transatlantic in my spare time. If at first you don’t succeed…

Qualifications: Yachmaster Offshore ,ASA 201 Basic Keelboat instructor, RYA Basic first aid

Interests: Outdoors. Cycling, hiking, sailing, surfing. Music: I play guitar, DJ and am currently learning the violin.

Dislikes:  Indoors!

Favourite Animal : Llama. It’s literally impossible to be sad looking at their funny faces
