Get to know Oliver Evans

Experience: I started my life afloat in 2013 as a volunteer in the North Sea on board sail training vessel James Cook. After two years as an apprentice, I moved on to sail a range of traditional and modern craft around the UK. I first joined Maybe Sailing in 2016 with the acquisition of Blue Clipper and we raced her across the Atlantic during the 2017 Tall Ships Races. I have spent much of the last 8 years getting to grips with the traditional working vessels of the Thames Estuary and South-East Coast. I love the sea and sharing the magic of sailing.

Interests: I enjoy cooking, baking, hiking, camping, and playing board games. I also play the mandolin and penny whistle.

Dislikes: Foisty damp tea towels 

Favourite Food : Roast Beef, with: Roasted Tatties, Honey Roasted Carrots and Parsnips, Spiced Red Cabbage, Roasted Onions, Yorkshire Puddings and Gravy.
